APMP Certificate Course
The APMP Certification is a knowledge-based qualification awarded by the Association for Project Management. It provides one of the very few internationally recognised qualifications in Project Management that are easily accessible.
Learning Objectives
- The objective of this course is to prepare experienced project managers for the Association for Project Management Practitioner examination, the only qualification that has gained broad acceptance within the UK and international recognition through the International Project Managers Association (IPMA).
- On completion of the course and examination, participants will automatically become associate members of the APM for one year at no additional cost. Attendees will also be able to apply for a higher grade of membership, depending on their experience.
- Candidates with an information systems background who obtain the APMP qualification may apply for exemption from the written paper of the ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board) Certificate in Project Management.

- This Qualification assesses a candidate’s ability to apply project management skills and techniques to a non-complex project, or to assist in a more complex project
- Participants will be assessed against 37 criteria, demonstrating that they can analyse, identify, and understand issues and information surrounding a non-complex project.
-The course material is based on the APM Body of Knowledge. Participants will take part in a series of intensive coaching sessions addressing all the main topics covered by the APMP examination in a structured and consistent way.
- The sessions will include presentations, exercises and sample examination type questions.
- Sufficient time is provided within the timetable for private study or facilitated revision.
The Course Will Benefit
- The APM Practitioner Qualification is particularly suitable for project managers, project coordinators and team leaders who have three to five years experience in managing non-complex projects.
- This is an intermediate qualification for project management practitioners who wish to demonstrate an ability to manage non-complex projects or run a key control function of a large-scale project.

- Course runs 9am – 5:30pm with a break for lunch
Pre-requisites
1. To have passed the APM Introductory Certificate, or;
2. To be able to demonstrate good familiarity with the APM Body of Knowledge and have passed an equivalent qualification such as PMP, ISEB Certificate in Project Management, Open University Project Management Module M865, or;
3. To be able to demonstrate strong foundation knowledge of project management, supported by evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development.
