An Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming
Course Objectives:
What drives our behaviour? How can we do things differently to achieve a desired outcome and how can we mimic business excellence. NLP is is the practical application of what works in managing ourselves and our interactions with others. NLP has attracted increasing attention from all walks of life and in particular, the world of business. This one day introductory course provides an example of the key aspects of NLP and delegates will benefit from engaging with the trainer whilst they demonstrate a variety of examples of the most effective techniques of persuasion. This course gives an overview and a practical insight into the significance of NLP in business today, and how it can be used to build rapport and increase flexibility.
Contents:
- Well-formed outcomes - the power of creating what you want from any context or situation
- Perceptual Positions - the three different perceptual filters that offer insights not normally available to us
- Representational Systems - our sensory filters and how to identify them in others
- Rapport; establishing surface level rapport
- State Anchors - selecting an emotional state at will
- Submodalities - the building blocks of thought and action
- Changing Beliefs - two methods of changing our limiting beliefs for more empowering ones

The techniques used in NLP are most likely applicable for all managers and consultants. However business people in general can effectively use neuro-linguistic programming to observe the representational system of coworkers and associates. This assessment helps build relationships which can facilitate the negotiation of a decision, the building of a team, or a sale.
