WHO:
All project professionals, including practicing project managers and all solution development roles that need to attain formal recognition of their skills by taking the APMG Agile Project management examinations. Project sponsors, directors, programme managers or co-ordinators will also benefit.
DURATION:
5 days
PRE-REQUISITES:
There are no pre-requisites for this course. Prior experience working on projects, or in a project management role may be beneficial to Participants, but as this course focuses on preparation for the Agile Project Management exam, it is not essential.
Before you attend: 15-20 hours pre-course preparation is required. A pre-course study guide, Agile Project Management Handbook (the core guidance based on DSDM Atern) and E-Support are provided.
EXAMS:
The Foundation exam is one hour, closed book, multiple choice exam. The Practitioner is a two hour, open book, objective test format exam.
OBJECTIVES:
This course provides an understanding of Agile Project management and preparation for two formal qualifications, at Foundation & Practitioner levels.
By the end of this course Participants will be able to:
- Understand how Agile Project Management projects are delivered to time, cost & quality.
- Understand when and why to select Agile Project Management.
- Plan and organize Agile Project Management projects.
- Successfully complete a project using the required Agile Life-cycle, Processes, Roles, Management Products and Practices/Techniques.
- Understand, practice and review lessons for Agile Practitioner Examination.
- Take the Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner Examinations. Foundation examination will be graded by the trainer and results provided confidentially, Practitioner examination is grades after the course by APMG.

APPROACH:
This five day course is designed to maximize examination success, but also provide confidence in using Agile Project Management. The Foundation examination is a one hour multiple choice, closed book exam; The Practitioner examination is two hours, open book, objective test format. Objective test format is a sophisticated multiple choice format, based on a case study. You will be provided with detailed guidance and examples on this examination format.
