Gas Engineers must complete their ACS assessments every five years.
This course delivers the requirements and the re-assessment process.

Training Purpose:
To test the knowledge and skills of qualified Gas Operatives in accordance with the H&S legislation and conformity with the European Standard EN4501 3.

Who would Benefit:
Gas fitting operatives who wish to gain ACS accreditation in Natural Gas Safety.

 Gas legislation
 Gas emergency actions and procedures
 Characteristics of combustion
 Ventilation
 Installation of pipework and fittings
 Test for soundness
 Checking and/or setting meter regulations
 Identification of unsafe situations
 The operation and positioning of emergency isolation controls and valves
 Emergency Notices and warning labels
 Checking and setting Appliance Burner pressures and gas rates
 The operation and checking of appliance gas safety devices and controls
 Flueing standards
 Flue testing
 Installation of open, balanced and fan assisted flue assemblies
 Appliance installations


Training Information:
Reassessment requires evidence of previous ACS accreditation which is to be presented to the Centre before assessment can take place.

These are offered twice every month at both training centres. We can offer both private and open courses. Dates may vary
