Exercise Specification

The candidate is required to:

1. Check that the area of operation and landing area is clear of hazards and able to take the loads.

2. Identify the weight of each load and its characteristics.

3. Check and select appropriate lifting accessories for each load.

4. Confirm the code of signals with the crane operator.

5. Prepare and lift Load A, guide and land at a given position. This load must be landed out of sight of the crane operator. Once landed return the load back to its start position and detach.

6. Prepare and lift Load B, guide and land at a given position. The lift point must be at minimum working radius of the crane. The landing position must involve a change of radius and at least 270 degrees from the lift position. Once landed detach the load.

7. Prepare and lift Load C, guide and land at a given position. This point is to be at 180 degrees from the lift position and at a different radius. Once landed detach the load.

8. Remove and return all lifting accessories.

Notes:
• Items 5, 6 and 7 may be undertaken in any order.
• All loads must be placed within 200mm of a given point.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL DELEGATES MUST HAVE A VALID CPCS TOUCH SCREEN TEST OR THEY WILL BE UNABLE TO SIT THE COURSE AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.
